EJ Communications just completed a new website http://www.marshall-roth.com for artist Rod Marshall-Roth. Rod wanted to showcase his beautiful watercolor, pastel, and multi-media paintings as well as his large-scale sculptures for potential galleries and clients to view online. We wanted to make the artwork the star of the site. Using a very simple design, and muted gray background allowed the richness of the color in his work to really stand out. Individual “galleries” were created with thumbnails and featured images. The viewer controls their experience by mousing through the dynamic thumbnails and selecting the image to see larger. The home page features a soothing slideshow of one featured image from each of the four galleries: Landscape, Flora & Fauna, Mixed Media and Sculpture. This site also includes a content management system so that Rod can update his information and images as needed.
